DeskTube Preview

DeskTube has just released its all new and improved interface! This update brings new features, as well as a new design. Here is the current feature set of DeskTube:j

• Searching for videos

• Viewing videos

• Standard Feeds (Most Recent, Recently Featured, and so on..)

• Related videos to the currently playing video

• View comments of currently playing video

• Post comment to currently playing video

• View your personal playlists

• Twitter Support (http://twitter.com)

• Ribbit Support (http://ribbit.com) This is the service used to place phone calls and send text messages from inside DeskTube

• Settings manager (Currently only allowing you to set the default feed displayed, including a search term)

• Widget Mode

This is the current feature set of DeskTube, and is by no means the end all of features.  In fact, by the time you install this new version, DeskTube will already have three new features.  No, you didn’t miss them,  and yes, you’ll see them in the next release.  I just wanted to stress the fact that DeskTube is constantly being updated, features added, features removed.  At the end of the day, the goal is to have a kick-ass desktop version of YouTube.  With the help of everyone, DeskTube will get there.  I encourage all to use the Contact Page to submit feature requests, bug reports, or general thoughts about DeskTube.

Thanks for all the support, and per usual, you can upgrade by launching your current version of DeskTube, or by heading to the Download Page to install a fresh copy (this won’t affect your settings).
