DeskTube is happy to announce that users may now login to their Facebook accounts, view their home news feed and post status updates to their Facebook account; right from DeskTube. With the inclusion of Facebook services, DeskTube now offers the ability to be on three services at the same time while never opening your internet browser once.

With the explosion of social networking services, along with the popularity of viewing video content online, DeskTube has filled a void that everyone is longing for; a cross platform application that takes the guesswork out of social networking by brining all these services to one place. DeskTube is a YouTube application at heart, allowing you to login to your YouTube account and access your private playlists and subscriptions along with commenting on videos, and even uploading videos to your account.

That wasn’t enough for us, so we decided to eliminate another internet browser tab by adding Twitter support. You can login to your Twitter account, view your home feed and replies feed, as well as reply and post tweets. This doesn’t cure our Twitter fix completely, but we’re not stopping there.

Yet again wanting to relieve ourselves of another browser tab being open, the Facebook service was introduced. Very similar to the Twitter service, you can view your home feed, and post a status update directly to Facebook right from inside DeskTube. Again, this doesn’t cure our Facebook fix, but it’s a start and there is more to come.

While we are extremely pleased with where DeskTube is now, we are even more excited about where it’s headed. Future updates will include rating a YouTube video, Facebook chat, Quick Capture support for live video recording and upload.
